The ride takes along the Route 55 to the Town Park of Telford, developed more than 50 years ago to accommodate outdoor space for the new town.
The route again is an old railway line called the Silkin Way and is totally traffic free. It has an incline of just 2% most of the way which makes for a great return ride!
We will encompass the park via many of its own routes and grab a coffee from the many new cafes now found in Southwater, Telford.
Return in time for lunch at the YHA Cafe.
For those looking for a slightly longer ride you can leave the main ride at Madeley and ride along the Rough Park Way adjacent to the railway line and then take the road down into the Wharfage in Ironbridge and then back along the same route via the Iron Bridge of Route 45. This would add a further 8 miles.
