The Ironbridge Clarion’s bi-annual invitation ride is open to all with both off road and road variants available.
This ride, which is being run in conjunction with the YHA’s Wheely Fun Day, is a road ride for riders of all abilities.
The aim is to get as many club members as possible out on a ride but we welcome non-club members to join us for a gentle introduction to road leisure cycling.
We will set off from the YHA in Coalport and head up the Silkin way (with the off-road group leading the way) but will take to the roads in Madeley. We expect to take around an hour and a half on mainly flat(ish) roads at a speed that matches the slowest in the group. The aim is to have a great social experience and return to the YHA to join the festivities to mark the opening of the bike store and maintenance pole.
For those who don’t have a bike and want to try cycling the Telford Cycle Centre, based in the park, are offering 50% off bike hire for those coming to the event. Cycle Experience are also offering a free Dr Bike health check for those joining in on the ride.
