There are 2 date options please sign for all the dates you are available as we will select the one with the most participants. Please sign up by 14/9/16!!
This should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience but is not for the unprepared!
Starting promptly at 7:45 from Bicycles by design the ride is in three approximately equal stages.
The first stop is at Caerhowel where we will be met by a car carrying refreshments. At this time you will need to provide your own hot drink in a thermos which can be left in the car at the start in Ironbridge. A small charge will cover the cost of food.
Section 2 takes us from Caerhowel to Machynlleth where we will have lunch in a café.
Section 3 takes us around the coast from Machynlleth to Barmouth. Our estimated arrival time is 5 to 6 pm.
The journey back is by coach which is adapted to take bikes. The charge for this is £480 so we need enough signed up riders to make this viable. 20 riders = £24 each.
You will need: –
A properly maintained and prepared bike
Lights
Multitool and spare inner tube
Drinks on the bike and a thermos with hot drink if you want one for the first stop
Money for lunch and food at the finish as required.
Suitable clothing – its October and its Wales! Waterproof jacket – warm stuff. Perhaps a change of t shirt for the end?
A bike bag or backpack to store stuff in. Don’t over do the weight as you have to lug it for 100 + miles.
The pickup bus will also act as a broom wagon to sweep up broken bikes and riders if required and if we can communicate.
